about

I scramble up the ridge, Mother staining every inch of me. I know I shouldn’t, but I let myself fall. Looking up at the sky, I see nothing, no possibilities. Yet it all seems so attractive. ----I heard stories about what they do to you in Hell. They say you get pelted with a million stones every second, with the only break being one minute per day for the demons to laugh and your broken, torn, naked body. Then the stones begin again.---- Emptiness is preferable to pain. But sometimes pain can be refreshing. I look down at my arm and pluck out a singular hair, tossing it down for someone else to inherit. I feel lighter than ever.
